Here you can sign on with us for the Adventures of a lifetime! Simply fill out the Employment application and submit it. You will be issued a Company ID number that will allow you access to the Company Area where your Adventures await .
The Basis of this experiment is the TSR Modules of Spelljammer. What this means is Employees work for a Spelljammer Trading company. They are transported from the Home Office via Spelljamming ships to the worlds of their Adventures. In this manner, players are delivered into the campaigns and settings of their Adventure. On occassion, they may need to defend their transportation vessel but this does not mean you must play Spellammer. Those campaigns will be as seperate as the rest.
You will be registering as your AD & D character with a reular DM, and the standard character information will be asked for. Please have your Character Sheet at hand. You are welcome to register more than one character, as each individual Employee is issued their own Company ID. Please be sure to use the same Player name with every character you register so you don't end up playing more than one character in any campaign.
For now, during our initial start-up phase, the number of campaigns and the amount of play time per game available will be very limited. As more join us, this will change. So please be patient with us and hang in there.
We here at The Dragons' Laire play AD & D a little differently than most. We firmly believe what Gary said way back when he started this thing.The Rules are but the Guidelines of the game. THEY ARE NOT CARVED IN STONE!!!! We make every attempt to adhere to the Standard Rules as set down in the Second Edition. BUT! We temper these Rules with the parameters of the Real World. DM's rulings are based accordingly. We also believe in FAIR! Thus it is, every new Employee is issued a Standard Outfitting kit. Your G.I. Issue, if you will. This kit is the basic outfitting every character is given at the beginning of Level 1. It is, by no means, all you may have! It is a basic issue only. Add or subtract as you wish. Its' sole purpose is to circumvent some of the tedious parts of creating a new character, as well as starting all Brand New players on an even footing. But we are sure every player will find some interesting and useful items in this issue.
And from the Owners and Founders of the Company, we have some very interesting equipment you will find nowhere else! All created within the confines of the Second Edition rules. These can be seen and game-purchased from the Company Store. At reasonable rates. REALLY!
And Yes, you get Paid! At least your character does.
